Catchgate Primary School
Welcome to Catchgate Primary School, as Headteacher, I offer a warm welcome to you and hope that you will come and visit our thriving school where we believe all children and staff are entitled to develop to their fullest potential enabling each one to grow in confidence, knowledge and understanding.
We are at the start of a new journey into NCDAT and excited at the prospect of working with both primary and secondary school colleagues. The relationships between the schools is strong already and there are clear opportunities for staff learning, career development and progression.
As Governors, leaders and staff we provide a happy, caring, safe and stimulating environment which promotes self-esteem, respect to self and others, co-operation and introduces a range of life skills for participation in the wider community. We have a strong focus on well being for both pupils and staff, which was commented on in a recent Ofsted report, and we support staff with workload to achieve a positive home-life balance.
The community is at the heart of all we do. We work in partnership with parents and a range of other organisations across, and within, the community we serve to ensure children’s development and learning are achieved together. We value the relationships we have with the community and invite them regularly to be part of our learning experience. We offer our children a range of opportunities to develop their independence. We want our new staff members to help us develop a responsible attitude in our children that will enable them to become tolerant, active and caring citizens of the future who contribute positively to the local, national and global community.
