Behaviour for Learning
The Early Career Framework from Teach First and NELT was delivered through online and face to face meetings. It allowed time with fellow ECT's both within the subject and beyond. The Early Career Framework supported continuous professional development in five core areas: behaviour management , pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and professional behaviours.
My mentor was and still is a strong network of support. She has a plethora of expertise to which she has shared with me accordingly, which has been influential in my practice.
During my time as an ECT, I was a key colleague in designing the 5-year geography curriculum making sure knowledge and skills were well sequenced and allowed students the opportunity to build upon this over time.
During my ECT years I found it extremely powerful to learn from other colleagues within the academy and I still do now. Combining all observations to create a positive learning climate within my classroom.
